Thanks to all!!
Once again our family has experienced a pouring out of love that is a true testament of the people in this community and surrounding communities. There are so many people working so hard to make “On a Mission for Mitch” a success, and so many others that came to participate that were so very generous. We knew that Saturday would be an incredibly emotional day but we not prepared for so many acts of kindness that just seemed to have no limits.
To all of our friends from the Winchester community. It was so wonderful to see so many friends that we haven’t seen since relocating from the community, and we are so very appreciative of the incredibly successful fundraiser that you held on Mitch’s behalf.
One of the more emotional moments of the evening was seeing the team uniforms dedicated to Mitch. Thanks so much to coach Sagester and the team for such a thoughtful display of support.
We are running out of ways to say thank you and the truth is we couldn’t possibly repay all the generosity that has been afforded our family. We do want to thank all those that worked so hard to organize the event. Thank you to all those that donated items for the fundraiser. We appreciate all those that worked so hard throughout the day, and finally so many that generously made contributions in so many ways.
Many view Mitchel’s battle as an unfortunate circumstance that you hope would never happen to anyone, but as we all know as determined as we might be in our hope, these things happen to so many families. Mitchel’s battle with cancer is certainly difficult, but we want to point out the incredible unity that has resulted. We always felt that being a part of a small community offered a certain sense of security, but being witness to the conviction of so many people unified to support one family is more than just inspiring. It really does feel more like a miracle.
We believe deeply in the promise that through the sacrifice of Christ we are recipients of eternal life, and that our physical bodies are a temporary part of life. We trust that ultimately the result of that promise will overcome the limitations of our physical bodies. By having faith in that promise He will ease the pain of the struggles that we might endure. So many individuals have said “you are in our prayers” and we believe that all this unity is the result of those prayers.
There were several times during the day that tears were shed. When we reflect back on the day we feel as though all those tears were tears of joy. A result of realizing the overwhelming desire of so many working together to overcome the difficulties of one family. We again want to express our most sincere gratitude to everyone that put so much effort into making such an inspiring perfect day.
